CLARE MERCER NNEB, RSH DIP

Clare has worked in childcare for the past seventeen years in many different roles and has accumulated a vast range of experience.

After graduating from The Chiltern Nursery Training College her first job took her to Kenya looking after a class of two- to three-year-olds. On her return to the UK Clare joined an agency and was quickly offerd the chance to work alongside a Management Committee to lead a small community nursery in the middle of Bancroft Estate in East London.

After two years of Managing the Group Clare decided to gain experience in the Private Sector and was enrolled by Nursery Works, a well established private nursery group now owned by Bright Horizons Family Solutions. She joined Nursery Works as a Nursery Nurse and left there three years later as Assistant Manager, to join Teddies Nurseries as a Manager for one of their nursery sites in South London.

After a year she gained promotion to Area Manager and a further year later to Commissioning Manager with operatioal responsibility for the opening of seventeen new sites. Clare worked with architects and a team of designers to create a bespoke design for Teddies and implemented this Nationwide for the company which was by this time owned by BUPA.

After BUPA had completed their Roll Out program at the end of 2003 a new position arose of Regional Manager where, until July 2005, Clare was accountable for the financial and operational success of fourteen nursery sites spread across South and West London.

Clare left Teddies to embark on a new career of consultancy and set up Right Dynamic with her partner, Richard Dinnick, in July 2005. The idea of a new recruitment agency gave the childcare side of the business a 'critical mass' to become its own entity, a trading body called ClearDynamic.
